Helena produced and co-directed the award-winning documentary The Economics of Happiness, and is the author of Local is Our Future and the classic and international bestseller Ancient Futures: Learning from Ladakh. Her groundbreaking work in Ladakh earned her the Right Livelihood Award, and in 2012 she received the Goi Peace Prize for her "contribution to revitalizing cultural and biological diversity and strengthening local communities worldwide".
