So good afternoon, dear LinkedIn community and Composites Lounge members and composites experts. JEC visitors and exhibitors here in Paris. Now I have, of course, a voice from the JEC Group itself. This is Anne-Carole. -Good morning. The regional director of the regional JEC shows. And she just came out of the VIP room with a presentation about JEC forum DACH, which is now organized for Stuttgart (Germany). And now you're coming out of that room, Anne-Carole, what is the latest news on that? For this fourth edition of the JEC Forum DACH, which will be held on 22 and 23rd October 2024 in Stuttgart, we are happy to welcome all the participants in the Maritime Hotel in the city centre of Stuttgart, because we saw that in Salzburg (Austria), the last edition, it was such a success for all the participants to be all in one place event in the city centre, that for now we book every year on Hotel Avenue, in a hotel in the city centre of each city for the next edition of the JEC Forum DACH. So Stuttgart in 2024, Dresden in 2025, and even Cologne in 2026 at the Maritime Hotel. -So that's a wonderful information. 2026 is even already in the pipeline. That is, of course, exciting news. But let's come back to what is going on this year, 2024. Anne-Carole, you have this fantastic matchmaking system, which in some cases doesn't really work in other places, but in your case it works very nicely. In Salzburg we had over 800 matchmaking that were planned with a hit rate, if I remember correctly, over 90%. Yeah, that was well respected the meetings. How will it be this year? Can the buyers and sellers expect something similar? What's your ambition? Exactly, the core of our event is the business meetings program. And this year we improve the program with integrated, a new web platform which will enable participants to match-make the meeting and schedule the meetings prior to the event between buyers and suppliers, and also to plan and schedule meetings during the event with either a web platform and an application for the event. And we also have a very, very smart business meetings manager who is really, really doing a good work in accompanying all the participants in their process of scheduling meetings and searching for profiles and good match. So that means also that people that are coming short notice that have maybe not the time to pre-schedule everything, they get the chance on site to schedule meetings. Exactly. Which was not the case previously. Ladies and Gentlemen, Elmar Witten is with me. He's the, would we say managing director of AVK? Yeah that's right. I'm sometimes confused with the presidents, the chairman and managing directors. We have to be clear. He's the managing director. -Yeah, I'm paid for the job. And so I'm the managing director. -You are the managing director. You get money for it. You have the great function of this JEC Forum DACH to organize the speakers and the stage performance. How do you start? What is your next step on this? -So we are very happy that we are partner of the JEC Forum DACH since the beginning. So this event started three and a half years ago, after Frankfurt and then Augsburg and Salzburg. We are now in Stuttgart. We will, as Ilkay already said, organize the conference program. So we care for content. We have important issues that have to be announced at this event. That will be, of course, sustainability, which is a very important issue for the industry at the moment for the composites industry, including recycling topics. And then we have e-mobility and innovation topics for different applications like e-mobility. And we will inform about latest market developments then. That's our job. We are very happy to have our 100 year anniversary at AVK this year, and we will have a party at the end of the first conference day. So this will be a common event of JEC Forum DACH and 100 year anniversary of the AVK this year. So what I am really excited about is also the AVK's innovation award- that is some people say 30 years old, Some people say 28? Older. I'm with the AVK since 16 years. Older than 16 years. But older than 30 years. But I don't know exactly. The innovation award goes to several categories. So can you explain us what categories do you plan this year? If you have already decided upon? -The categories are always the same. We have one category on innovative products. We have a second category on innovative processes to produce products. And we have a third one, a category for institute and research and development. So these are the categories and one topic in each of the categories. Not new this year but since years is sustainability. What's your call to action to people to win this prize? What should they do now? -You are all innovative so just let us know. So send your innovation ideas to us, to the AVK and then you have a good chance to win one of the well-renowned Innovation Award prizes. Is it necessary to be a member of AVK to apply? No, it's totally independent. We are awarding the best innovations in the market. -Okay, wonderful. Which means this is very objective and very much open. Thank you, Elmar, so much. We have another talk later on. And now I take back Anne-Carole on stage. Thank you. So, Ladies and Gentlemen, we have Anne-Carole one more time with me, because one thing is clear. We have talked about JEC Forum DACH, because I'm inclined towards the German market, of course, the German Austria and Switzerland. And I'm covering this also on the show with pavilions and exhibitors and some experts here. But of course, JEC World is expanding in different regions and I would like to talk with Anne-Carole first of all, next year is Italy JEC Forum Italy at Lake Como. And but prior to that there is also a Southeast Asia version. Tell us about that one. -Exactly. After having launched JEC Forum DACH in 2021, we launched with a very big success JEC Forum Italy in 2023, which will be held every two other years. So the next edition of JEC Forum Italy is planned to be held in next June in 2025, Lake Como. We are planning to launch a new forum next year in 2025, in September in Poland, which will be named JEC Forum Central Europe. We see the JEC family, the JEC community is growing internationally and it's a great thing. I applaud you guys for all this international work, because that keeps the community running, composites running. Just this morning I met Alan Banks from Composites UK and we were going through the history of composites and he said composites is a fairly young industry and I remembered well the first railways are for 100 years ago with steel and we are coming back. But even JEC at 1960 was founded, so it's already 60 years. But compared to steel, of course, it's a it's a younger industry and now is the time also after this pandemic and all the hassles have been over to expand and get a global community together. Yes. Thank you so much Anne-Carole for the update. -Thank you for the opportunity to communicate. -You're welcome. And I wish you, of course, a nice further JEC World. But as far as I can see it flows. But we are not at the end. We have still 1 day to go, but it looks very promising. Thank you. Thank you to everyone.
