#93 Composite crash analysis: a fundamentally innovative approach by Engenuity, UK (English)
01.08.2023 52 min Staffel 5 Episode 50
Zusammenfassung & Show Notes
Crashing composites has always been a concern in the industry, but is largely solved. Yet, some application engineers are still reluctant to apply composite structures due to ongoing concerns. A typical example are car rims.
On 28 July 2023 Ilkay Özkisaoglu invited Tim Hall, Commercial Director of Engenuity to explain our composites community here on LinkedIn, how their approach to crashing differs from others in order to give you more trust into these fibrereinforced polymers (frp).
We will also talk about composites testing in general and more specifically why Engenuity has specialised in the short fibre inspection that are used in classic SMC (Sheet moulding compound) processes.
Engenuity is part of the HRC Group and based in Burgess Hill (UK).
This livestream is for any technician, researcher & developer in the automotive, aerospace, railway and renewable energy market sectors to name a few. Of course, business developers, sales executives and anyone interested in material testing and simulation is warmly welcome, too, to join our live discussion.
We encourage you to ask all your burning questions live and we are of course interested in your opinion in real-time. Write them in the chat down below.
Save-the-Date: Ilkay will be visiting both the International Composites Summit (Milton Keynes, UK) on 7 September 2023 and have a chat with the Engenuity engineers on both their booth plus in Burgess Hill on Sept. 8th.
