Zusammenfassung & Show Notes

In this episode, we speak again with Debora Aust from the Berlin Counselling Centre for Professionals with Foreign Nursing Qualifications (BBeFaP). After talking about the basic integration of international nurses in the first part, this time we're looking at the second level: what do nurses who come to Germany expect - and what do they experience in everyday nursing care?

We discuss topics such as language barriers, recognition procedures, lack of career prospects and social integration outside the workplace. Debora brings in experience reports from counselling practice and makes it clear why intercultural competence and transparency are crucial for integration to succeed.
The episode shows that integration is not just a question of bureaucracy and language courses, but depends on attitude, support, and appreciation - and that it remains a joint task for organisations, teams and politicians.
